The Seed Exchange website and concept was created and run by Gwen Hicks. She is located in Suffolk, Virginia and has lived in the Hampton Roads area for 15 years on her suburban homestead with her husband, two children, a blind and deaf adopted jack-russell terrier, and a small flock of chickens. Gardening has long been a hobby of hers as has visiting historic and community gardens.
